Kirov FAS investigates 1win advertising on Telegram

In Russia, the Kirov regional office of the FAS on March 20 initiated a case over alleged violations of advertising law related to the promotion of 1win poker tournaments in the Telegram channel “Topor+”.

The case was opened following a complaint filed by an individual with the FAS.

Grounds for the investigation

The case concerns an advertising post dated December 29, 2025, which promoted the Grand Poker Party tournament series with a prize pool of $30,000.

FAS position on the Telegram channel

The FAS classified the Telegram channel “Topor+” as a platform not included in the list of permitted channels for gambling advertising.

Legal provisions

The decision is based on Part 2, Clause 1 of Part 2.2, Article 27 of the Law on Advertising.

Liability and case review

Liability in this case lies with the advertising distributor, whose identity has not been disclosed.

Hearing date

The FAS has scheduled the case review for April 16.
