Hackers Attack MaxBet Operator Website in Belarus

In Belarus, a hacker attack on the website of land-based operator MaxBet (Maxbet-M LLC) resulted in the compromise of personal data belonging to around 10,000 users of maxbet.by.

The attack took place on February 13, 2026, as reported with reference to the National Center for Cybersecurity and Cyber Incident Response.

The incident was assigned a high threat level, and the maxbet.by website has been temporarily taken offline and is inaccessible from Belarus.

What Is Known About the Hacker Attack

Attackers gained unauthorized access to an information infrastructure asset of Maxbet-M LLC, which operates a popular gambling and betting network.

The incident has been officially classified as a high-level cyber incident.

What Data Was Compromised

The attack led to a leak of users’ personal data.

The compromised information includes last name, first name, patronymic, date of birth, email address, phone number, as well as country and city of residence.

In total, the data breach affected approximately 10,000 citizens of Belarus.

Regulatory Response and Access Restrictions

The National Center for Cybersecurity and Cyber Incident Response, established under the Operational and Analytical Center, confirmed the attack and assessed the level of risk.

Following the incident, the hosting provider was instructed to restrict access to the website until the causes of the breach are fully resolved.

Customers of the company are advised to take into account that their personal data may be used for illegal purposes, including fraud.

The National Center notes that such incidents are often linked to violations of cybersecurity legislation requirements.

It is also noted that a draft law introducing administrative liability for organizations responsible for high-level cyber incidents has already passed its first reading.
