Black Jacket Demo Released on Steam

Indie studio Mi’pu’mi Games and publisher Skystone Games have released the demo of Black Jacket on Steam.
Story and Core Gameplay
According to the story, the main character is trapped in hell and must outplay the dead in blackjack, claiming their souls in the form of coins. These coins serve as the local currency used to bribe the ferryman and attempt an escape.
Black Jacket is built as a deckbuilder where players assemble their own card deck with unique effects. The cards selected determine tactics and the approach to overcoming opponents.
Table Mechanics and Opponents
The core of the gameplay revolves around cheating at the table. Players can use different actions, including:
- forcing an opponent to draw an extra card;
- changing the value of cards already on the table;
- swapping cards with an opponent;
- reading opponents by observing only their hands visible on the table.
Each opponent has a unique playstyle and modifiers that make rounds tougher. Opponents are never shown in full — only their hands are visible during gameplay.
Technical Details and Release Information
The developers confirmed that the full release is planned for 2026. The game will not feature any in-game transactions, which is mentioned in the demo description.
