ACMA orders blocking of illegal iGaming websites

In Australia, the regulator ACMA on March 18 ordered local internet service providers to block eight illegal iGaming and affiliate websites for violating the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

The following websites were blocked: CuntSpin, Frumzi, Great Win, MyStake, Oh My Spins, RetroBet, affiliate site The Dog House 2 Slot, and Viperwin.

The decision followed investigations which found that these services were operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

Total number of restrictions
Since November 2019, when ACMA issued its first blocking request, a total of 1,564 websites related to gambling and affiliate activities have been restricted.

Since 2017, more than 225 illegal services have exited the Australian market following increased enforcement.
