X Updates Its Paid Partnerships Policy

Social network X updated its paid partnerships policy, banning influencers and content creators from promoting gambling products, including casinos, lotteries, social casinos, and sports betting.
Ban on Gambling Promotion
The restrictions apply to paid partnerships and cover posts published in an organic format.
The ban includes promotion through referral links, promo codes, and any form of compensation for mentioning products.
What Is Considered a Paid Partnership
X classifies as paid partnerships any posts in which a user receives compensation or other benefits from a third party.
- cash payments for publishing content;
- compensation in the form of goods or services;
- commissions from sales via affiliate links;
- promo codes and discount offers;
- commercial agreements, including brand ambassador roles.
Prohibited Product Categories
The policy defines a list of categories that cannot be promoted under paid partnerships.
Gambling and Financial Products
- gambling products and services, including lotteries, social casinos, and sports betting;
- cryptocurrencies and other financial products and services.
Other Prohibited Categories
- alcohol products;
- tobacco products and vapes;

Liability for Violations
The platform provides enforcement measures for non-compliance with the rules.
Possible Sanctions
- removal of posts;
- temporary restrictions on posting content;
- account suspension in case of repeated violations.
Policy Exceptions
X allows policy exceptions to be reviewed upon request on a case-by-case basis, subject to established restrictions.
