Sportradar Signs Agreement with Brazil’s Ministry of Sports to Safeguard Sports Integrity

The company signed a technical cooperation agreement to protect sports integrity following the launch of the betting market in the country.

Joint Efforts to Combat Match-Fixing

On May 15, Sportradar and Brazil’s Ministry of Sports signed a technical cooperation agreement (ACT) aimed at protecting the integrity of sports competitions in the country.

The agreement includes:

  • Information sharing about the betting market
  • Joint implementation of initiatives to counter match-fixing
  • Training of Ministry of Sports personnel
  • Implementation of the UFDS (Universal Fraud Detection System) to identify suspicious activity

Seminars and Training

The first training seminar was held on May 15 with the participation of Brazil’s Ministry of Finance, which also recently signed an ACT with Sportradar.

The training covers advanced methods for monitoring, detecting, and investigating suspicious activity in sports.

Objectives of the Agreement

Brazil’s Minister of Sports, André Fufuca, noted that the agreement marked a significant milestone in the fight against match-fixing:

“Integrity must be a constant principle, especially when it comes to transparency, ethics, and fairness in sports results. This agreement gives us the tools to stop such practices and build trust in sports competitions.”
