Morocco Blocks 8 Foreign iGaming Operators

On January 12, the Commercial Court of Casablanca ordered three local telecom providers — Maroc Telecom, Orange Maroc, and Inwi — to block eight offshore online gambling operators and their subdomains via DNS and IP, local media reports.
Which Companies Were Blocked
The operators affected by the ruling include 1xBet, Stake, Melbet, Mostbet, Linebet, Betwinner, Sportsbet.io, and Betway. The court instructed the telecom providers to block access to their websites via DNS and IP.
Penalties for Non-Compliance
If the order is not followed, telecom providers will face fines of $1,085 per day. The restrictions also cover payment services such as Orange Depo, X1Mel, Melfoot, and Herofoot, which allowed players to deposit and withdraw funds through local bank accounts and phone numbers.
Reason for the Block
The complaint from MDJS was based on a report by a court officer dated December 15, 2025, which identified the operations of 15 foreign operators in Morocco. This report led to the filing of the lawsuit and the subsequent court order.
