Lahore Court Extends Bail for Aroob Jatoi

In Pakistan, the Lahore court extended on December 22 the bail of influencer Aroob Jatoi (@aroob_jatoi, 2.8M Instagram followers), wife of YouTuber Ducky Bhai (9.62M YouTube subscribers), until January 6 in a case concerning the promotion of unnamed iGaming operators. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency is required to submit the case files by this date.

Court Appearance and Case Progress

Aroob Jatoi appeared in court alongside her husband. The judge noted that the case files had not yet been received and instructed the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency to provide the necessary documentation before the next hearing.

Investigation and Ducky Bhai’s Situation

Mr. and Mrs. Ducky Bhai have been under investigation in connection with the gambling app promotion case for several months. After being granted bail, Ducky Bhai shared the challenges his family faced during the 100 days following his arrest and subsequent release.

Allegations and Financial Issues

The YouTuber claimed that officials violated his rights, applying physical and verbal pressure, and allegedly instructed a young family member to use harsh language against him. Ducky Bhai also alleged financial misconduct, stating that an investigation officer transferred approximately Rs 90 million from his account.

He added that authorities later submitted a false report in court, claiming the money had been recovered. The family took a Rs 6 million loan and transferred it to NCCIA officials after Aroob’s phone was confiscated and they were threatened with FIRs as a form of extortion.

Gratitude and YouTuber’s Statement

Despite these events, Ducky Bhai expressed gratitude to officials who supported his family by interviewing each member and properly handling the case. He noted that the experience showed that not all institutions are corrupt and that there are people serving justice.

Plans and Connection to the Country

He refrained from sharing all details, noting that a full account would have extended his video to four hours. Ducky Bhai stated that he does not plan to leave the country and remains committed to Pakistan after eight years on YouTube. He also apologized to viewers if his content or promotions caused any negative impact, emphasizing that his goal has always been to entertain and offer something new.

Arrest and Bail Conditions

Ducky Bhai was arrested on August 16 at Lahore airport on allegations of money laundering through gambling apps. He was later granted bail by the Lahore High Court with a surety bond of Rs 1 million and released on November 26.
