KSA Issues Warning to Vbet Operator

In the Netherlands, the regulator KSA issued a warning (without a fine) to operator Vbet (SCGO Limited) for violations of AML requirements.
KSA Review of Vbet
The review was launched in April 2025 as part of supervision over compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Act.
During the investigation, the regulator requested customer files, internal documents related to AML policies, and materials on risk assessment.
Identified AML Violations
Risk Assessment
The regulator found that Vbet’s enterprise-wide risk assessment did not reflect identified gross risks and lacked a document version control system.
This prevented the KSA from assessing the relevance of the risks and the effectiveness of the measures in place.
Transaction Monitoring and Documentation
Deficiencies were also identified in player transaction monitoring, inconsistencies between policies and procedures, and errors in recording risk profiles in customer files.
According to the regulator, these issues reduced the effectiveness of measures to prevent money laundering.
Vbet’s Response
Vbet cooperated with the regulator during the review and began work on a remediation plan.
The operator confirmed that it will implement all KSA recommendations.
