KSA Fines BetCity in the Netherlands for Player Protection Violations

Reasons for the Fine
The Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) highlighted that BetCity did not provide adequate protection for young players against excessive gambling and gambling addiction. According to the regulations, gambling companies are required to:

- Prevent the development of gambling addiction among players.
- Ensure compliance with internal control and monitoring procedures.
In BetCity’s case, the regulator found that the company had not fully met these obligations, which served as the basis for the fine.
