iGaming GGR in Spain Reaches €405.4 Million in Q3 2025

The Spanish gambling regulator (DGOJ) published the quarterly report on December 22 with data on the country’s iGaming sector for July–September 2025. You can view the report here.

Overall iGaming Performance in Spain

GGR for the third quarter reached €405.36 million, up +16.49% compared to the same quarter in 2024 and down -1.35% from the previous quarter.

Player deposits totaled €1.35 billion (+18.19% YoY), while withdrawals reached €936.92 million (+16.82% YoY). Compared to the previous quarter, deposits fell -0.03% and withdrawals dropped -2.70%.

The average monthly number of active accounts was 1,657,963 (+14.32% YoY, -2.73% QoQ), and new accounts averaged 153,286 (+0.07% YoY, -8.92% QoQ).

GGR Breakdown by Segment

Casino

The casino segment generated €230.98 million in GGR (56.98%), with +22.93% YoY growth and +6.67% QoQ growth. The main contributors were slots (+27.78% YoY, +8.54% QoQ) and live roulette (+4.20% QoQ). Meanwhile, traditional roulette declined -8.00%, and Blackjack dropped -3.22%.

Betting

The betting segment produced €149.50 million in GGR (36.88%), rising +10.00% YoY but falling -13.02% QoQ. Within the segment, live bets increased +32.82%, pre-match bets decreased -42.98%, other counterparty bets grew +23.85%, and horse racing bets declined -9.07%.

Poker

Poker brought in €21.71 million in GGR (5.36%), up +5.80% YoY and +13.59% QoQ. Cash poker grew +12.91% YoY and +8.82% QoQ, while poker tournaments rose +2.76% YoY and +15.98% QoQ.

Bingo and Competitions

The bingo segment generated €3.18 million (0.78%), down -13.48% YoY and -5.92% QoQ. Competitions showed minimal GGR contributions.

Marketing Expenses

Total marketing expenses reached €154.84 million (+17.89% YoY, -6.00% QoQ):

  • Promotions: €82.03 million (+23.47% YoY, -1.01% QoQ)
  • Advertising: €54.65 million (+8.42% YoY, -13.14% QoQ)
  • Affiliates: €15.86 million (+19.77% YoY, +13.40% QoQ)
  • Sponsorship: €2.30 million (+82.88% YoY, -53.61% QoQ)

Promotions include bonuses paid out as prizes (€28.57 million) and bonuses not included in prizes (€53.46 million).

Of 77 licensed operators, 64 were active in Q3 2025, collectively holding 111 licenses across segments:
