Genius Sports Announce Acquisition of Legend

Genius Sports announced the acquisition of Legend (casino.org, casino.guru) for $1.2 billion, which industry media describe as the largest SEO asset acquisition in the history of the iGaming segment.

The transaction is scheduled to close in Q2 2026. Under the agreement, Genius Sports will pay $900 million at closing.

Of this amount, $800 million will be paid in cash, while an additional $100 million will be paid in company shares.

The agreement also includes additional payments of up to $300 million over a two-year period.

The size of these payments will depend on Legend’s financial performance following the completion of the transaction.
