85 Chinese Nationals Detained in Myanmar for iGaming

On March 20, Myanmar authorities report that 85 Chinese nationals were detained for organizing iGaming activities in three locations within Muse Township, Shan State.

Locations of the Operations

The detainees were located in buildings in Kaungmu Tong Ward, Taw Yawt Ward, and Suan Saw Ward of Muse Township.

On the same day, authorities also discovered a complex of buildings near the village of Kaung San in Laihka Township (southern Shan State), used for similar purposes.

Seized Equipment

During the raids, authorities confiscated 417 mobile phones, 58 computers, 28 laptops, 55 all-in-one computers, 10 Starlink devices, and 10 power stations.

Law Enforcement Actions

Security forces conducted simultaneous inspections and searches aimed at stopping online gambling operations.
