Most of the spending went to traditional formats:
- Casinos (commercial and tribal) — 56%
- Retail lottery — 22%
- Online gambling — 15%
- Other formats (including charitable gambling and horse racing) — 7%
Online Segment: Rapid Growth
Online sectors continue steady growth thanks to legalization in new states and increased user interest:
- Online betting grew by 34%, with launches in North Carolina and Vermont
- Online casinos and poker — up 29%
- Online lottery increased by 26% but still accounts for only 1% of total spending
