KSA enforced €840k fine on booms.bet

In the Netherlands, the regulator KSA on March 17 issued a ruling to enforce a €840k penalty against offshore operator booms.bet (3-102-903325 SRL, Costa Rica) for failing to comply with an order to cease operations without a license.

Basis for the enforcement

Earlier, on November 21, 2025, KSA issued an order imposing a penalty of €420k for each week or part of a week the operator continued operating without a license.

The maximum penalty cap was set at €840k.

During inspections on January 15 and 22, 2026, the regulator confirmed that Dutch players with existing accounts were still able to access booms.bet and continue playing.

This led to the application of the maximum penalty — 2 × €420k, totaling €840k.

Operator response

The operator booms.bet did not file any objections to the regulator’s decision and did not respond to the enforcement notice.

As a result, the full amount was enforced.
