Kazakhstan Introduces 3.3% Levy on Bets

In Kazakhstan, a 3.3% levy has been introduced on each accepted bet placed with bookmakers or totalizators.

Government Resolution

Government Resolution No. 167 dated March 12 defines the procedure for distributing funds collected from bets.

The document comes into force on March 27, 2026.

45% is allocated to a single operator for the development of physical culture and sports.

21% is directed to the fund of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan to support Olympic sports.

21% is allocated to the public fund “Kazakhstan Khalkyna.”

13% is used to support the operation of the unified accounting system (UAS).
