Google Search Volatility Remains High Since February

The volatility of Google search results has stayed at an abnormal level since mid-February.

Barry Schwartz, founder and editor of Search Engine Roundtable, published on March 10 a report tracking overall Google search volatility. Despite the completion of the Google Discover Core Update on February 27, fluctuations remain unusually high. As of the publication date, no official announcement of a new Core Update had been made.   • Semrush Sensor — 9.5/10 (Very High, “Googlequake”), has not dropped below 9.0 since ~February 15

SEO communities report losses of up to 97% in organic traffic (from 200,000 to 5,000 visits per day), while some projects simultaneously experience sharp increases in rankings and sales. According to Schwartz, Google is likely continuing to implement unannounced core updates.
