CGA introduces reporting rules and updates seals

The Curaçao gambling regulator (Curaçao Gaming Authority, CGA) updated its online portal on January 20 and added two new sections for license holders.
New sections on the CGA portal
Mandatory incident reporting
The first new section is dedicated to incidents, including system outages, security breaches, and payment-related issues.
Under Article 5.10 of the local gambling law (LOK), license holders are required to report such incidents immediately to the regulator via the portal.
Player complaints reporting
The second section of the portal relates to player complaints.
In line with CGA policy dated June 18, 2025, iGaming operators must regularly submit statistics on received complaints to the regulator.
The reports must include data broken down by complaint status and categories.
Update of the digital seal system
Alongside the portal update, the CGA introduced a new system of digital seals for license holders.
Types of digital seals
The system includes five types of seals, reflecting the license status:
Green seal — for active online casino licenses.
Blue seal — for B2B companies.
Grey seal — for suspended or voluntarily withdrawn licenses.
Black seal — for revoked licenses.
Orange seals are no longer considered valid.
Requirements for obtaining seals
Domain registration
To obtain a digital seal, operators must register all gaming domains used in their operations on the CGA portal.
Requirements for B2B license holders
B2B license holders must register a corporate website in order to be eligible to display the blue seal.
Seal update deadline
The regulator-set deadline for updating digital seals on operators’ websites expires on January 30, 2026.
